Yoga for Stress Management
A longstanding mental and emotional disturbance in the Manomaya Kosha makes the body go into a sympathetic mode. When it stays there, it is occupied with an ongoing loop of thoughts and causes stress. During stress, the brain undergoes chemical and physical changes that affect its overall functioning. During periods of high stress, certain chemicals within the brain, including the neurotransmitters dopamine, epinephrine, and norepinephrine, begin to rise, causing more significant amounts of these and other “fight or flight” hormones, such as adrenalin, to be released by the adrenal glands. Releasing these chemicals contributes to specific physiological effects, including rapid heart rate, higher blood pressure, and a weakened immune system. When left unmanaged, over time, it leads to chronic stress, which can lead to other serious problems, such as stomach ulcers, stroke, Asthma, heart disease, etc. In this class, you will learn to identify positive and negative stress, understand who you are, and what triggers stress in you. You will learn visualization, pranic energizing practices, etc., including pranayama and meditation, which can help release negativity that blocks concentration. You will learn to go into a deeper state of relaxation through chanting various mantras and mind sound therapy.
Let's stop the body from entering a chronic state through this stress management workshop!

With this goal, we designed the workshop with the following principles; Stretch, Strengthen, Relax, Breathe, and Notional Correction, including What is life? What gives happiness, Reflect—Rethink—Rewire. The pain in the musculoskeletal system can affect different body parts, such as joints, ligaments, muscles, nerves, and tendons, including the upper and lower back, neck, shoulders, legs, feet, and hands. They can arise from a sudden exertion, such as lifting a heavy object or making the same motions repeatedly, causing strain to that part of the body used which can cause trauma. The pain can range from mild to severe enough to interfere with your day-to-day life. It may start suddenly and be short-lived, which is called acute pain, and pain that lasts for more than 3 to 6 months is called chronic pain.

Yoga & Addiction
When a person is surrounded by stigma and misunderstanding, addiction is an extremely complicated issue and hard for a person to face and overcome. It involves many junctions between psychological, physiological, genetic, and social circumstances. People who find themselves in the grip of addiction will often sacrifice their well-being, financial security, health, and relationships in pursuit of their drug use, gambling, or alcohol. However, Yoga offers a mind-body approach, considering the physical and mental considerations as well as Spiritual Coaching, one can learn to regulate breathing which helps one become self-aware of what’s happening within and can help to tolerate the uncomfortable feelings and sensations that lead to relapses. Self-awareness helps us observe thoughts, reactions, and sensations in a nonjudgmental way and meditation practices can help manage the mind’s energy and impulses, which helps calm down the mind and bring mood stability. A calm mind and being mentally stable can contribute to avoiding self-harming behaviors.

Shat Kriyas
Each class is 45mins, a total of six sessions
Shat means six, and kriya means cleansing. Kriyas are yogic techniques to cleanse internal organs. The six cleansing techniques — Shat Kriyas are Kapalabhati, Trataka, Neti, Dhouti, Nuala, and Vasti. Unknowingly we accumulate waste/toxins(Ama) in our internal organs. Yogic kriya removes these waste materials from our internal organs, usually not expelled. The Shatkriya also balances the three doshas or humours (liquids) in the body—Kapha (mucus), pitta (bile), and Vata (wind). According to Ayurveda and Yoga, an imbalance of the doshas will result in illness. It is recommended to use these practices before Pranayama or other yoga practices to get a good result of purification from toxins. These powerful techniques should not be learned or practiced from books or by inexperienced people. Learn from the professionals who will guide you in your healing work as to how and when to perform them, to bring harmony between the major panic flows, Ida and Pingala, and to attain physical and mental purification that will help balance the human system to enhance vitality!
